Ray Bell

Overview

Ray is a management consultant, based in Wellington, New Zealand.

He has a unique and very practical blend of project management and technical experience. This enables him to take on a wide variety of client assignments and see them through to a successful conclusion.

While he has a wide range of skills and experience, his particular fields of interest and practice are project management, project office and project processes. Ray also has particular experience in the areas of systems selection, procurement and implementation, process development and process improvement.

Background

Ray joined Unilever in 1973 and then, from 1979 through to establishing Entity Group in 2000, he worked for three different consulting companies (Commercial Computing, Azimuth Consulting and Working Knowledge Group).

• More than 35 years in information technology
• More than 30 years as a consultant, including 17 years as a company director
• wide information technology experience, gained in various roles: project manager, consultant, business analyst and developer
• developing, implementing and using methodologies and standards
• strong technical experience and understanding

Current certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), PRINCE2 and ITIL.

In addition to his consulting work, Ray is an active member of PMINZ and was a COPAT member for PMI’s Asia Pacific 2010 Congress.
